Default odd square wooden piece in pro desighn mig-15 90mm?

Could someone tell me what this part is.It is a squar sgapee thin pice of plywood with servo shaped holes all over it.Since this plane came with no instructions and is my first EDF jet.

The part is a battery tray. It goes in the fwd area above the ducting. It will key into one of the formers.

ok then so do i trim off the outer 2 teeth of this battery tray.It wont seem to fit into the battery compartment that is on top of the duct.With the outer teeth.They also dont seem to touch anything as to glue to
