The Power system is:

Essentially a 70mm with 1800 watts. The cool inrunner is 4200kv, with a 16.8 volt Lipo (4 cell). Holding Voltage under load for the pack I have is 15.1 according to the datalogger on the ESC.
At 74% throttle current is 86 amps and watts are 1200. I've not run it up to WOT yet.
I had to forego any landing gear, and put fairings over the aileron linkages.
The planes all up weight is 3.8 pounds....rather heavy...in faCT really heavy. I have no thrust measure yet...I've one last task on it...flux tube. The tailtube is important, and with the install here on trhe L-39...its rather short. The stab cuts off the top too, because proper clearance is not available, I'll have to flatten the tube where its run under the stabilizer. I hooked up a long wire pushrod from the servo up front for elevator, and joine the elevators with 5mm cf tube.

My friend just bought one of these. I'll mention this thread to him.
No maiden yet, it's still in the post but he's quite experienced in edf and says it looks promising from what he's read.

There is a lot of info for this model on rcgroups, best outcomes have been building it light with around 800-1200 watts, I have seen 2 fly, one with a wemo and 2W18 on 4s, it bungee launched and flew quite nicely, landed soft too. Other one I dont know what was in it but it was a bit heavier and faster, reminded me of the Sapac viper, more of a handful when heavy too.
