Default "HARRIER ll"

"Harrier II"

Three years older since maidening this model, few more lines of experience, but no sign of aging or wear and tear of this 40th Anniversary EDF jet.

As a bottle of good old wine it is getting better with the age. The best value foamy I have ever bought for $39-, but fitted with the best gear

costing close to a grand giving it 1200W of power after some inlet and outlet modification. 230 missions so far, mainly off the beach sand giving

it good lubrication, salty air helping as well! Another magic day in paradise today adding few more flights to my log books. Next report in

3 years time, stay tuned, I'll be back! J.

All the extra effort put into this unique model paid off. Few pics.

My latest modification to this model to get extra 1-1.5 min. fight time, slightly extending the wing tips so I can carry larger 4S/4-4.5Ah 60-120C packs. Lot heavier with extra rear ballast but more stable in windy conditions. Easy fix.

For "HARRIER" lovers, little action flying today in the windy conditions.

To keep it alive, Harrier is still doing great even on the windy day like today, forecast was dead calm! Bugger!

Faulty ESC replaced.

Fan and motor closely checked and re-balanced.

New ESC fitted.

All sealed off and ready for re-maiden.
After all these years of flying this model it was a time to pull it all apart for a major service. ESC was replaced after experiencing some hick-ups recently. All, good and ready for more action with the piece of mind.

New ESC works flawless.

Same size but dramatic AUW difference, 3250 v 1500g.
Back in the air after full service even off the rugged grass strip.
(Harrier after service 2nd.)

Over the Pacific.
More fun with my good old "Harry" off the grass for a bit of variety after my recent sandy action.

Just about the same size, tho, 'Alfa' lot lighter with better duct design.
My "Harrier" got a new sister-ship in the shape of "Alpha", I managed to buy brand new fully set up as ARF, in the 2nd. hand junk shop. What a bargain!

Very similar to Harrier performance, but just as much fun flying it off the beach even while being caught in the rain as in att. video, enjoy abrupt flight.
