Thanks to George Miller
George, in his building a F-14 thread, touched on some subjects that were of interest to me. I had decided that my model of the F-117NSW really needed a full cockpit because of the large canopy housing the pilot and systems operator (the SW designation). George told and showed how he built up a cockpit by using photos , the computer, and printer to make realistic instrument panels. That worked out very nicely. The other problem that I had was the figures. They had to be full bodied and some what of a unorthodox scale. Again, George to the rescue. Busts from JHH, and blue foam for the lower bodies. This was the first time that I had tried to "model" people. Again the computer with scaling to the printer of a seated figure that my wife had, made for easy block cutouts. A fine scalpel blade made short work of the details. WBPU with a lot of micro balloons gave a real quick texture/finish for the foam. Not perfect, but my guys convey the message. .010 Styrene is great stuff to work with to build up the cockpit.
Custom canopy from Sparky and, of course, decals from Callie.
Thanks for the help.
