Otto ... with a 2,700 KV I will go with a 4.75 x 4.75 ... maybe 5x5 even. You can expect about 21,000-22,000 RPM thereabouts. Should be pulling almost 35A. Speed? Around 70 mph.

Otto ... for 4S usually you want to drop the KV down a little more, maybe a 2,300KV motor and turning a 4.75x4.75 or 4.7x4.2. I am ASSUMING you are taking about a 24/28mm can motor, the 20mm can motors usually cannot handle 4S well unless its branded. Stick to 3S, keep her light and she is easier to launch etc.

Hi,
I have put one of these together, first try was with a 10x4.7 prop on a 700kv brushless. It flipped over and crashed. I tried to amend the ailerons with no joy, so I put a 2000kv brushless in with a 5x5 prop on it, checked the new c of g and flew it!?!!? It flipped over and crashed. Am i a retard or something or could someone give me some inspiration as to what I am doing wrong!?!?
thanks

I see in someones article that this thing did a 100 mph maybe if you dropped it off the Empire state building and you clocked it up against a turtle. It looks like a Walmart piece of junk.

Can you even find these anymore? Thought they were discontinued a few years ago. But, as to flipping over into ground at launch, sure you have it setup for elevons properly? Mine goes good with about a 1/4 inch up reflex in elevons, throw it straight and level at wide open with a hard throw. Check that the cog is proper, very sensitive to balance. These things fly pretty fast but are very prone to quick tipstalling on launch do to low speed and elevator input. As to looking like walmart junk, heh heh, if you see one fly you might change your mind. I tried a multiplex 480 6d (2100kv) with a 5x5 and it went like stink but was way to heavy, so using stock speed 400 or 480 motor on 3s lipo and it is much better flier now. My top speed with stock motor is around 60ish, fast enough for fun as it gets out of sight fast due to small size. Good luck to all who have them!
ps. anyone still have them in stock?
