One of my "Alfa", this one by FMS powered by 70mm/4S set up, now 3.5 years old took only 10 flights when the stock power units blown up, just as I was rotating off the beach. Could have ended wet, but luckily no so, as the timing was on my side.
Replaced with Wemo fan spinned by HET20/18 soon after the miss-hap, the model runs reliably ever sinse.
Took it out again this morn for couple off short runs in most miserable cold and windy conditions with temperatures just over freezing point.

Variety of my Alfabet fleet.

Keeping warm while pedaling.

Battling the cold Westerly.

Haven't flown my micro Alfas for a while, took my #2 out today, rather nice day, but bit of a handful, the sling shot was pretty hairy, KE on me right after release due to slightly off trim, managed to level it off just in time, pretty stresful model to fly but keeps you well awake!

Pretty nasty launch!
LOL.

Another micro Alfa outing, still rolling left, further adjusts needed, she is hot and still a handful!

Better, but still rolling left after launch.

Close pass.

Real handful, the least I can say, LOL.

Time for a lunch after more fun.
