Default any EDF Jets that can be hand launched?

Is it possible to hand launch a Electric ducted fan jet? I do not want to to the bungee thing. is it possible to get enough thrust without the need for a bungee? Mega motor or something? the Kyosho T-33 would be really neat or an F9F Panther/cougar

Have a look at the Focke Wulf TA183 EDF from Alfa Models.

You can check out action video and still pics on the Hobby Lobby Website at

http://www.hobby-lobby.com/huckebein.htm

And yes, it will even do loops!

The Haldor Mig 29 (available as a kit from RBC), the kyosho jets (out of production, but can be bought everywhere like the for sale section of forums and on ebay) Any of the 4 wattage jets, and the GWS a-10. There may be a few others - but those are the ones that come to mind off the back.

The Kyosho T-33 can be hand launched, I have one and I have launch it myself. You do need a head wind and a stronge arm.

I have both kyosho t-33 and the f-16 fighting falcon I hand launch both. but I also have brushless motors in both. My favorite is a pusher jet, the electra jet and I have a nippy rotating can on it. (it also is a brushless)

Here are a couple of links first is to FanTastic Models They have a Mig 15 and A F86 Sabre both are designed around the GWS EDF50 Fan unit. They fly on the stock motor. The second link will take you to Conversion Motor Works which is making Brushless CD-Rom motor conversions for the EDF50 Fan unit. The performance of the motors is over twice the power of the EDF50 stock motor Check them out.

The Hobby Lobby Alpha Jet hand launches and it rocks with a Mega 16/15/3. They are on closeout sale right now. I bought two extra for backups.
