1/2 Lanier Shrike help
I am currently building a 1/2 Shrike kit and am wondering who all fly's this plane. I am still looking at a motor batt combo and was hoping for some input. Flying weight is between 14 - 19 oz, hopefully on the lighter side. Let me know.

The lighter the better, it has the glide ratio of the space shuttle with power off. I have one with a Norvel .061 on it, goes like hell under power, falls like hell power off.

RE: 1/2 Lanier Shrike help
I do, but I Usually have someone else throw it, I have a bum shoulder. Just get it level, don't try to toss it out nose up, that is a disaster, it will sink a little, then take to flight like it belongs there. As I said before, watch the glide with the power off. I had a buddy in Egypt that had a 1/2a shrike that he put a brushless motor on. My Norvel was no match for it. That thing was insane
