Cheers MJ "BLACK" SIR !

I got to your website and saw that your F-104 would be offer as EDF type around the 10th of march. Is there any place I could find more about your F-104 build-up for EDF propose? And is it left to us to figure out all about EDF with this F-104 or it will be sold with all the appropriate inlet and air duck or we have to figure by our self to become a F-104 EDF?

Thanks and great looking jet sir!

Regards !

Hi typhoon,

To be honest, im now tryinto sort out more info on our site for this aircraft.

EDF.....no friend, we do supply paper or card templates to cut around fro ducting, smoothing that sorta thing.....what we try to do is supply the system that I (the designer) fly with, so i knw that what you get is what i have and should, bar somthing daft, work as well as mine deos.

The build time for this model should be about 4 evenings..... longer to paint up, but we all know that painting can take an age depending on how far you chose to go into it...

Mine has panel lines and everything so took me a while, but for simplicity....just build, fly...then pretty up after.

Hope this helps....adn will give some more photos as soon as i have reduced them.

regards,
Mike.

Hi Mike !

Thanks for that reply. As I saw in a fiew pictures of your model F-104, it was balsa, and I saw a other one of foam made. Can you tel me the one we are getting if purchase from you sir. Is it a balsa kit your F-104 or foam, (confusing) cause I saw a foamy white F-104 in a picture somewere, it is probably in one of your page link of yours. Cause for what I read, it is lazer cut product your F-104, and I guess it is a balsa construction kit, right Sir ?

I saw a fiew post of your sir, and you seem to be appreciated by many, I trust that Sir.

I'll be looking at your new up-date as you ask me to do in the days to come.

Thanks !!!

Hi Friend,

Green Air Designs deos not do anything balsa...not sure where you saw that? WE pretty much invented Depron aircraft back in 2000 long before the likes of shockies adn shumates kits came out......if you look at teh dates and designs, you might see a very close comaparison...[:@]

guess nothing is sacred eh...... anyway we have always designed and produced depron kits right from the start. Everything you see on our site is the ordinal and not enlarged or played with.

FYI WE laser cut all our kits fom Depron, to ensure a good and fast build, I have a couple of superb guys who write the manuals for us, because if i wrote them it would be like a page of .."get the its out.....build it...fly it...."..LOL

so they are given to another guy who has had no input ot the development so he can write objectivly.

ALso...the F-104G Depron with Batts weighs in at 15oz, i think we would be hard pressed to make an aircraft of that size AUW of 15 oz.....i did try in the early days....just too damn heavy!

Hope this helps.

Best regards,

Mike.

Hi Mike...

Okay, it is a Depron kit, but as I will ask you a other question, as I see on your photos above, one of them is from the kit in a box and I see that your depron are lazer cut, and it look that it is the structure only that is in your kit box photo, here is my question, do we have to cover over the structure with balsa sheet? or what is the cover we use to finish our kit, cause your photo of the F-104 on the photocopier look like balsa covering. Just asking, cause I am new to this kind of construction, and want to be shure of what I am getting to build this kit, thats all...

Thanks for your PRO man advise Mike...

None of the GAD kits are covered as such. What looks like balsa will be the depron sanded smooth and then coated thinly with light weight polyfilla, with some strange lighting effects. This allows the end product to have a high quality finish to it. The more time you put in, the better the look. Some parts are balsa or light ply for strength. The design of GAD planes is constantly evolving and as such, new methods of construction allow much more complex shaped aircraft to be produced.

I hope this helps,

Ben

Mike, any idea when we might see the F-4 Phantom II, Mig 21 on this side of the pond? Chuck has the F-104 in stock if I recall correctly, I suppose I _could_ build it while I wait

BTW - is the build manual for the -104 available online? I want to see if one of my spare EDF 55's might be made to fit.

Default Hunter kit

Hi,

I know this post is from years ago but I would like to know if you have any instructions I can have/use because I have a hawker hunter kit without the instructions that I have bought off eBay.

Best regards,
Francis
