Default Lear Jet EDF ? is there one ?

I've been looking around, and can't seem to find any makers of an electric twin engine EDF Lear Jet.

I see there is a nitro version with a prop on the nose, but no actual EDF......

say it ain't true !

See if you are lucky:

http://www.greatmodeldeals.com/ducted_fan.htm

This place should be ok too:

http://www.mth.com.tw/en/products/

There is another manufacturer of high quality commercial airliners, it might be US or EU ... they do have a Learjet I believe, try asking in RC Groups. I do not recall the website.

Thanks ! yeah I remember back a few years ago KYOSHO had one, but it was kinda poo-poo in flight characteristics. but noew LIPO's are around, so perhaps it would be a good model with more power ?

GWS has a model like I am looking for.......... but I can't find a seller

Or, if $40 is more your speed, check out http://www.raidentech.com/new2chairear.html . This plane is available from several places, and there are also some videos on YouTube of it in flight. 2 channels.

Hobby Lobby has one that they are coming out with, I have seen a video of the plane and it looks good (it wasn't flying though, they held it and talked about it). It is a foamie, but they say it will be around $200. I will try to find the video link and foward it to you.

I picked up one of the cheap foamie (Earl) Lear Jets and it does fly fairly well with a good rate of climb and about a ten minute flight time.
It only has motor and rudder control and I it would be much more fun with elevator and aileron control.

Has anyone tried converting it to this spec. Weight is obviously a big issue with these low powered models.

As it is , I would recommend flying only with very light wind as it has a tendancy to stall if you cut power and takes quite a while to recover.

COL, does that one have just 2 speed settings ( ON/OFF) for the throttle or is it perportional? I was looking at the earl also and at 40.00 it's cheap enough to seem fun and not too devestating to the pocketbook if it smashes.

It does seem to vary thrust when turning but it is basically on/off.

I was planning on upgrading the radio anyway so this is not a problem.
I am basically prepared at this price to Buy/Fly/Redesign/FLY/Crash/Throwaway
