And heres part two. Notice how the Pre-shading gives the paint depth.

Looking good Vet![8D] Unfortunately you have done such a good job on the sky camo, you wont be able to see it in the air! Dont let the wind keep you down with the Rafale, I have flown mine in 15knt winds! Ask a65l! She is a blast to fly in the Breeze!

Sorry Rich, right now I am out of the Cessna 206, However, email Delfin at SNHobbies.com

He is a trust worthy guy that is great to deal with! He has them instock for $119 I think.
Tell him Joey set you!

She looked sweet in the air Andy! I think we are going to need to put together an EDF/electric rally here soon at Fentress![8D]

Thanks guys! Joey I have been thinking the same thing. This camo is definantly going to be hard to see. So I think I will have to adapt your paint sceam after all.

What are your flight times like, guys.

You can expect about 4mins of flight time, I do a lot of slow speed flying, high Alpha stuff, and I like to save a little in the battery for a go around if needed.

when is the maiden flight?

Rich I believe Joey uses the same paint as I do. Its Tamiya Accryics You can get them in any LHS. To spray with it you should first thin the paint with Tamiya X-20A thinner. I use about 40% thinner and 60% paint.

Joe, Beleive me, if I could control the wind that we've been having here, it would have been a Maiden 3 days ago. With any luck the wind will be light tommorrow morning. I have the day off so ill head her out to the Sod Feilds (Masssive runways there) Ill see if I can get some vid, but for today Im going to be painting some tiger stripes so I can see the damded thing.lol Want to be carfull with this one cause I just planted my Mustang and I dont want to go 2 fer 2. On the other side if finished an upgrade on the A-10 so maybe I can plant that one instead.lol I dont get this hobby, I keep planting them but nothing grows.lol

Your right Joe! It cetainly would have been very difficult to see in the air so with your permission I kinda copied your fantastic idea. Thanks!

Its windy as hell here today so out comes the airbrush. Now I think I have a chance to see it. I hope tommorrow morn will be calm so I can test this litle puppy out.

D@mn!!!!!!!!! Outrageous!!!!! You really know how to hurt a guy, I didnt really like my paint job and now after seeing your masterpiece, I hate mine!

Dude don't let the wind keep you down, You will be shocked at how much wind she can easily handle! No kidding.

If you can get a good 10kt head wind, point the nose into the wind, start pulling up elevator till you get into a good high alpha position, and then start easing off the throttle, she will fly backwards and just steer her with the rudder. Then just punch the throttle and she will climb right on out! I've fown mine in 15kts, down wind passes are "smoking fast". Post a flight report asap!

Rich,

You are right about those airhogs, I have few of them too!

I just use jars of testors for my airbrush but from the looks of it I'm gonna have to start using the tamya stuff, like Vettster Da Vinci uses

WOW! WOW! Did I say WOW! What a plane! I couldnt beleive how eaisy it was to fly. I had someone hand launch it and after about 2 seconds of wobbly fingers i calmed it down and the rest was history. It flys Sooooo smooth and Simply looks FANTASTIC as it rips through the sky. I did circuits and fig 8s and then went for the aileron roll. The Mustang would take a cool 2 seconds to roll over. I hit the ailerons and that thing did FOUR!! rolls in about 1/2 a second.lol Holy crap! Then it was time to land. at this point it was probly the only time I went slow. So I lowered the throttle and wait for the decent....and waited....and waited.. It was pretty obvious at this point that this thing can handle very slows speeds with ease. Time to go around, a lot closer to the ground this time. and down she came and gently landed in the grass. What I found so increadble about the whole thing is that my hands never shook at all.(ive only been flying fixed wing for 4 weeks now) It was just a pleasure to fly. Man Im looking forward to that Raly at Joes place Sorry no vid. I thought there wouldnt be anyone there and there turned out to be about 10 people.

On another note. One of the guys there, about 25 years old and a boy genious. He was flying his plane and I noticed he wasnt even looking in the planes direction[sm=50_50.gif] I went to talk to him and he handed me the hood he was wearing. I put it on and I was actually looking through the windscreen of his model!!!! Increadible!!! He said he doesnt worry about crashing. I noticed he didnt even have his hands on the Tx. The plane was programmed with to GPS points and would fly all by its self for 35min!!!! and its electric!!!! It was very cool to say the least.

Now if I saw SoppyJoe bidding, I would mortgage my expansive estate in the country to outbid him.
Where is my F-FO?...
