Default 3Dfoamy.com F-18 and the hard choice of power source

Hi folks.
As the topic suggests i have a ready built F-18 pusher jet from 3Dfoamy.com.
I have tried it once with an AXI 2212-26 but lost interest because of the slow action of the AXI.
i want more of a screamer. Any suggestions for a motor?
I have one in mind but i cant find it in stock anywhere. Aircraft-world.com had a inrunner called RCer Warp4 3turn Aprox 2500 Kv. I've seen this motor in action on a pusher jet and liked what i saw. I have yet to find a outrunner or inrunner that has the same data as the Warp4. About 26A max and 260W.

Any suggestions are good, as i am about to lose it by searching the endless alternatives that doesnt mach the Warp4.

Have you checked DonsRC line of 'Wicked' outrunners?

http://www.donsrc.com/cart/index.php...d&productId=12

He also has his own vendor forum on RCGroups. You could always ask him. He's a great guy, very knowledgable and has great customer service. I'm lucky to get to fly with him on a regular basis.

That's a pretty 'big' plane if I remember correctly. If it can fly with a 6x5.5, I know his 'Wicked' 2700 can handle the amps. I'm pretty sure you can push 40A through it.

Hope this helps.

Wow...That's about spot on Kevin Thank you.
And it was really cheap too. I think i will order one without any further thoughts. I really did'nt think that a outrunner could be that aggressive.

thanks for the reply

Regards

Thomas

No problem Thomas! I know he ships internationally. I forgot to supply the link to his vendor forum on RCG previously. Here is the link http://www.rcgroups.com/dons-rc-548/

If you talk to him, tell him that Kevin (Spid) sent you.

Thanks!
