How was the 100mph mark confirmed? I didn't see any radargun and I can't doppler the video because of the music. What modifications were done to the airframe if any?

Thanks!

The speed was mathamatically calculated at 120mph. Using prop pitch and speed. I know this is not perfect so we gave a kit to a person with a radar detector. I guess he was excited because he forgot to screw in the servo arm screw and it landed in a tree. So we have to wait. This is the kit right out of the box. No modifications. We used a ducted fan outrunner and a 1600A 3 cell.

As soon as I get a radar gun on these I will post it here. These kits are going out for review so that will tell all.

Umm the PHase-3 Foam F-16 has been radar confirmed at 177mph with a hot power system. So not sure what "speed limit" you are reffering to?

Just ran a test Flight with the 3500 KV motor a 1600 Mah 3S , used a 4.75x3 prop Flies VERY STABLE ! clocked it about 50 mph with a half down battery. Rain put a damper on further testing, I will up the prop size tomorrow as the 4.75" was just a test also, looking into a 40 amp ESC and a 2200 30C Battery. I will warm up the radar gun.

It is looking like a pretty sweet flier will see what the added weight and power will do.

How can a full bodied plane compete against a profile job ???????

The profile SHOULD go in to violent fluttering & break up suddenly.

Full against full.

Profile against profile.

Next will be Nitro against turbines ?

That's the point, this profile has been engineered to be very simple and fast. The profile is not trying to compete against the full bodied plane. It is diffucult to have a profile EPP perform like this. We just worked out the bugs.

Well the only problem I see! other then the fun factor is now kicked up to a whole new level is some people might not have the chance to fly this jet because of space and the speed it will travel.

Other then that great job once again!

This jet looks like a simple, durable plane made for pure fun. I tried an Alfa MIG-15 from Hobby Lobby...loved the looks, but smushed the nose 3 or 4 times on bad hand launches. It was very disappointing to have a hot jet that I was repairing all the time. I think a profile jet, simple though it is, will have a huge fun factor with performance and durability.

All too fast airoplanes come with a working throttle. use the slower part of it in small areas.

These jets are also available with a park pilot set up for smaller areas.

Why bother???????
Why not???? BRC makes a well developed and quality designed product that is far better then cheaply and poor quality jets out their. BRC is an up and coming company that made in America. A builder who cares about what they put out on the market. I support them all the way!

does a pusher prop profile realy belong in the jet forum? either way its still a cool profile but prob suitable as a performance "parkflyer forum" with strykers ect....

just a lil thing about rcu having a lack of moderators.

Hopefully you will NEVER become a moderator!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can NOT enforce this catagory. ........It states EDF's AND prop jets.
