Jon,

Congratulations on your successful test flights. I noticed that you flew with the missiles mounted. Did you glue them on or just use the stock magnets? On the older L-39, the manual said the wing pods were for show but I ended up flying with them anyway. I was intending to try the missiles on my second flight but maybe I'll just leave them on.

I re-scaled my F-20 yesterday as well. I have a group of friends I call the "Scale Police" because I hear about it every time I miss something on a review.

My F-20 test flights are today so I'll report back tomorrow.

We had some very successful flights with the F-20 Tigershark. The jet really moves out so it gets small fast! After the first flight, I moved the pack back about an inch and it flew true without any elevator offset. I will re-measure the CG soon and take another pack position photo.

I firm hand-toss is needed to get the model airborne. The Tigershark performed loops and rolls with ease but inverted flight was a bit difficult with the flat bottom airfoil. The missiles had no problem staying put during flight but we lost one or both when touching down in the grass.

I'll post a video soon along with some more flying photos...

More flights today on my F20. Ilike it. Flew some pretty slow circuits for the camera but also like the way it moves out at WOT. The high power to weight ratio helps keep hand tosses from going any way but great.

The maiden flight of the F-20 Tigershark was captured on video. To my surprise, the wing tip missiles stayed in place during flight and only came off on landing in the grass. Pilot, Lynn Bowerman, did a good job keeping an eye on the EDF as it gets small very fast at full throttle. The F-20 slows up nicely and remains stable at a wide range of speeds.

I'll post some photos next of the new battery pack position and included display stand.

Shown here is my new position for the battery pack. It was moved about an inch back and moved the CG aft by about 3mm.

The supplied display stand assembled easily with 5-minute epoxy. You can also use white glue buy not CA.

I have both the L-39 and the F-20, superb little planes that handle very well, easy to control and tough too, aerocell is the best foam material around.  The F-20 could be very fast, I flew it on 4-cell and oversized outrunner motor which ruined the little fan unit after 3 flights.

The L-39 is a beauty to look at, I have the clear canopy version

Go for these planes, they're well worth it

thank you for your comments!
the F-20 is my favorite jet and I'm thinking of making this my first EDF
I have several Nano 2200mah 4s packs that could work awesome in this little Jet
and 85mph out of the box aint bad.. [:-]
maybe 100mph with just a little faster motor on a bigger esc..

My stock F-20 is a great plane, no pun intended. It moves out, is easy on batteries, lands reasonably slowly, and looks very cool in the air. I even use the rockets in flight. I launch off a catapult, and it it a very neat way to go. Tower has this now for $89 before coupons which is a really nice price. The red paint has worn off in spots, and it still looks good. Tony
