Maybe the first 2 meter Viper EDF
I just completed my Skymaster 2 Meter jet build using EDF power instead of turbine power. The plane is powered with an XPS EDF and 15S 6500 cells. The build was very straightforward even using the stock engine mounts from the kit. The CG came out spot on. and the batteries ended up on the stock RX mount from the kit. The plane weighs 24.5# with 2 A123 flight packs and 15S 6500 Lipos. The plane will have about 24+ lbs of thrust so look out vertical. Ken McSpadden will fly the plane in the San Diego event in September. He will be flying on a 12S battery system not 15S. It is my plane and I want the fun of flying with BIG power.
I think this is the first electric 2 meter EDF.
