Funjet Ultra

Just got this bird and I'm trying to fit an ICE 100 in the fuse. It's a tight fit but by crushing the foam, I can insert it from the top (only) and then only prior to gluing the turtle deck.

What with the ears and the case screws, it's too wide to fit through the rear. The only way I can see getting it in is prior to gluing down the turtle deck. That works BUT
if and when I need to access it, I can't get it out without destroying the turtle deck (as the deck is glued down).

How do I get it in so it's removeable (if needed)??

You trim out the foam to "form " fit it in.

That works for permanent installation with no access after it's built.

I need a method of gaining access to it after it's built and it's width figures into the problem.

Thanks.

i had the same problem when i wanted to fit a larger esc, i simply used a sharp blade and cut the deck off and then reglued it.

Yah, I kinda figured that was the only solution. BUT I've found an alternative that I think I'm going to use. It's in Swedish but pics are worth a thousand words.
