New EXTREME CNC Alloy 80 & 90mm fans

All new designs for our latest alloy housings, new stators, new motor housing that takes 39mm motors, designed around the HET 700 series inrunners.

Complete fan unitsnow available with wemotec Midifan PRO rotor assemblies. New pricing too with the strong $$, I have squeezed the pricing down to what I believe is very good value for what you get. The 80mm Wemo is aimed directly at the Eflite 80mm fan, with performance on par to a TJ80 but at almost half the price. Rotors are factory machined and dynamically balanced, simple to assemble and fine tune.

The new 90mm fan housing has a step at the front which matches the Wemo and HET intake lips, they clip straight on and are available for those who need an intake lip on the housing. With the HET 700 series motors the performance is great, our hot 10s setup pushes 5.3kg thrust at 3600+ watts.

I am working on the new CS12 blade rotor and should have that available for both 80 and 90mm housings, running 8mm motor shafts.
HET 9305 V2 rotors are of course available for the 90mm housing if desired.
Also available will be the German made 9 blade JETFAN rotor, the options for the new fans are varied to say the least!

Hi Mark,

Your DFs look absolutely gorgeous!

I would love to see your thoughts on the differences between the 90mm CS, Jetfan, and the Midi Pro rotors.

Thanks.

RE: New EXTREME CNC Alloy 80 & 90mm fans

HiGreg,

Well the Wemotec is still the class leader, most efficient rotor on the market, the design was right from the very beginning. Also a pretty good sounding rotor that is enhanced by the alloy housing.

The Jetfan is a nicely built rotor, its well priced considering its a multi piece hub with 9 blades made in Europe. Its down in efficiency compared to the wemotec, the V2 is better, produces 4.1kg thrust at 2950 watts, the wemotec produces 4.4kg at the same power level.

The CS12 Blade is pretty efficient, it produces 4.4kg thrust at 3057 watts, not far off the wemo, 100w more for the same thrust. Problem is out of the box it is not the best QC, although I have to say they are getting better with each batch, the new batch I just received are very good, looks like they will require minimal work to make them reliable. They are still having trouble getting consistent bores in their adapters, the Chinese need to learn that near enough is NOT good enough and they need to learn to discard parts that are not quite right, instead of mixing them up with the good stock in order to get rid of them!

Mark,

Thanks for the information.

I notice that you also have some [link=http://www.extremerc.com.au/estore/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=146_72_298_301]EXTREME ALLOY 120MM FAN UNITS[/link]. Is there a performance difference between the GRP Reinforced 7-blade rotor and the Ramtec 9 blade modular rotor? Or is the main difference about the motors that will work with the different loads?

Also, when using the HET 700-98-670Kv motor, what power level, thrust, and current draw would you expect on a 12s LiPo? Can that motor also be used with the 7-blade GRP rotor?

Thanks!

The 7 blade rotors are cheap Haoye ones, no comparison to a Ramtec or Dynamax in performance. The ramtec is very efficient, as is the dynamax, the ramtec however is much more affordable and made here in Australia too :) Plus I can get the ramtec cut to any size I want, and set up with any sort of custom hub I need, thats the beauty of knowing the designer and having him in the same city!
