RE: teerific jets
Hi sideways312
I just saw your post. I am living in UK and talking to Great Northern Models about the F-15 Eagle. I am waiting for them to get back to me after the Christmas season. Is it a good plane. I have read as much as I have been able to find. It sounds great. Merry Xmas Bo (Gloria) |
RE: teerific jets

To you tIANci, are you sure that web site you gave me is the terific model? |
RE: teerific jets
the web site i gave you was for the terific jets company that terry nitch runs. i have two of his models the fly great. they have great high and low speeds. have never use tanic packs. some friends of mine say the work well. thats all i know about them.

RE: teerific jets
Thanks for your reply. It seems to me that Great Northern Models are a bit slow and I need to get the model from US since they are not avaible here in UK. Which models do you have? As far as I understand they are able to handle a bit of wind. Correct? I am quite keen on the f-15 Eagle. Any knowledge about this. I am new to EDF models, but it sounded to me as a good starting point.

Here's a a few pics of my two Teerific Jets (F-35). The grey one was the first "experimental" one I used to get accustomed to. So, it has a few "war wounds" on it, which were easily repaired with a bit of epoxy and a few fiber carbon rods for reinforcements. The colorful one I just finished a few weeks ago. Both use the recommended set up ducted fan, motors and ESC. The Grey one uses the recommended radio gear and the yellow/red one uses a GWS receiver, for now...
Just in case anyone had a problem with the weblink: [link=http://Teerific Jets]http://beta.teerificjets.com/index.cfm [/link] |

Hey Sno, nice loking models! I like the yellow one. Should show up well in the air. I think we have Bo (gloria) taken care of with a new F-15. Thanks for the kind words everyone! Big T

Hi BigT-RCU
Yes, you are right. Just waiting for the kit to arrive from your side of the water. Do you have any flying experience with this kind of planes? Also I think the pictures from Sno-Flyer looks great! Bo (Gloria) |
RE: teerific jets
Thanks for the compliments! I have a friend who has the Mig-29. He flew both of ours and said they all seem to fly very similar. Obviously, the slower the speed, the more difficult it is to keep it flying at the same altitude, but gets easier as you get used to it. The throws on the Ail and Ele don't seem like much at all, but when flying around 20 mph/34 kph, it doesn't take much input on the controls. I can definately say these models fly like a dream and are very responsive! I would recommend reinforcing the nose with a few small fiber carbon rods about 3 inches long in a few different places just in case you end up landing hard nose-in. Other than that, it's very well designed. Oh, the paint I used on both were thos esmall Testors brand spray paints I got at Wal-Mart with a clear coat on the yellow one - and yes, VERY easy to see in the air! If anyone ever has any questions about them from my experiences, just ask! Good luck when you get yours!

Hi again. My F-15 is finally finished, the reason it took a bit of time, was because I made a mess of the paint job, but it's ok now. Ready to go, when the weather overhere improves a bit. Just one question. How must power do you give it for take of? That fan seems very powerfull! Bo (Gloria) |
RE: teerific jets
i would think full throttle for take off so you could get as much air over the control surfaces as fast as possible
