Advice on dual EDF setup

Im debating building a dual EDF Mig-29 or F-22 Raptor, from a set of plans that i found on parkjets.com. The question i have is related to the setup of the twin EDFs. Does each fan unit require its own speed control and battery? Or is there a way to connect the motors for each unit to one speed control and battery, or one battery for both speed controls? Im worried that having two batteries may be too much weight for my jet, plus it would cause a larger dent in my pocketbook! [&:] Any advice related to how i can set up my jet would be greatly appreciated. :D

airframe if your going with a BL set up you will need to use 1 ESC per motor, now the Q as to the batt is going to be based on your amp load of the 2 motors. it's going to be easier to answer your questions if we know what power your planning on using in the plane.

what aj said. i will add, that some of the less expensive esc/bec do not play together well when run in tandem, unless you remove the red lead from one of the rx connections.

RE: Advice on dual EDF setup

AJ and Mongo. Thanx for your advice. I will keep it in mind and when im actually building the plane i will ask for more advice. As i am currently deployed to Iraq i have not really put much thought into what motors i will put into the plane or much else for that matter, other than the idea of building it. I sort of have other things to worry about if you know what i mean. [&:]

Thanx again.
