EasyTiger F-35 w/ Retracts 70mm EDF

1 Attachment(s)
Ipurchased this F-35 from Curtis at EasyTiger. Let me say one thing! The customer service was excellent! Take a look at the buildand video and see how nice of a plane this is. The important thing here is to see how great of a plane this is, how well it flies, how sturdy it is. Look through all the bull and see for yourself the brand new F-35.

This build took about 1 hour to complete. Have some 5min epoxy on hand, a screwdriver, an Rx, and a 4s2200mAh lipo.

One thing to note: The battery compartment is on top, not on the bottom. Its no longer needed to flip these foamies upside down and with one hand hold the plane and with the other hand try to undo the latches and unplug the lipo.

Please enjoy and if nothing positive to say, try to find something anyways! LOL!

Here is my videos. One was from E-Jets which was flown by one of the editors of the AMA and the other video is of my own personal jet.

Well, Here are the pic's of my F-35 all done up. She went up for the first time today and man did she fly sweet. No trim was needed and took her off from a grass runway. I got this one used. It was just the air frame, retracts and fan unit. The fuse had some damage to it so I filled in the dents and gave it a coat of WB-poly-U and repainted it a gloss black with orange trim on the tail and wings. I put the womo 70 mm fan and H/M The Beast motor in her pulling 90 amps and putting out 1200 watts. It has the lights and after burner kit from EJF and man you can see the tail cone bright red even in the day light. Ran it on a 4s 35C 3000 pack so I had to cut away some of the battery tray to make it fit. I am also running a UBEC and a 100 amp Sky Wing ESC. I also used 2-Hitec HS-81mg servo's in the tail and 2-Cirrus CS402/BB 18 gram servo's in the wings. The CG was right on at 100 mm and no extra weight was needed. Ready to fly with the battery she came in at 3 lbs 5 oz's. Had my timer set for 5 min for the first flight but I think I can get 6 or 7 min out of the pack as it was only slightly warm after 5 min. Did a few low high speed passes and pulled straight up at the end of the run till it was a dot in the sky. Man I love this jet:). Now I have to get some 5s packs for more get up and go[8D]. If you look at the pic's right under the canopy where the pilot sits are lights on both sides and one near the tail. The landing light is mounted right on the front retract strut and you can see the after burner lights right under the thrust tube. I got the pilot from Toys R Us for 2.99 just the right size for the jet.

Keep em flying:D

It's not the same one the Wingsmaker F-35 is a smaller one. Yes, the Easy tiger F-35 comes with the retracts.

Hi, I got the afterburner light kit from www.EJF.com it was only $17.95 with free shipping. It's the light kit that comes on the stock RC Landers jets.

I would really like to hear how the retracts are holding up on the grass field. I have been holding off becuase my club field is grass, but if it works for you ;-)

We have some grass off the sides of our runway and I run my through there. No ill effect. But Ihaven't tried taking off of the grass.

My EasyTiger 70mm F-35 w/ Retracts should be arriving shortly. I'm thinking about either glassing it or simply polyurethane the bottom, nose and leading wing edges to minimize the damage it will likely receive.
Are the stock servos decent quality or do you suggest replacing?

That afterburner kit looks cool. Must order.

I've flown this a couple dozen times now and it flies great with these servos. Now, they aren't Hitec MG servos but for this purpose their great!

Ireally wouldn't fiberglass the bottom unless you have a trick at only adding a couple of ounces. I would use the skid pads for rc cars instead. Its clear and 3M backed so that it will attach with a good bond.

Well, I have about 15 flights on her so far and the mains are holding up just fine flying off of grass. The nose gear did bend a little bit back after a flight. I did put a lite ply block right behind the nose gear steering servo to stop some of it. But I am gonna put a larger size wire in the nose gear when it does give out. Or might even go with the new X-Flight electric retracts for 90 mm size jets.
