Bae Hawk Replacement...

Hello All,
I have an Eflite BAe Hawk, that I tried to knock a fence post down with(low voltage cut-off), and would like some options on what I can replace this with. I have all of the running gear(69mm fan, 3600kv, 60 amp esc, ...etc). I really liked the hawk, but without a usable rudder, and tiny little steerable nose wheel, the thing is impossible to take off, or land, with a cross wind. Our field has a 750' concrete runway, but no grass(to speak of), so I need to have gear(preferably retracts). The hawk was also a little small, but I realize that with this fan, I am not going to get a very large airframe to fly the speeds that I want to fly...I appreciate any advise, and pictures would be awesome too! Thanks, Rc-Pile-It

RC Pile It,
I have the same plane and have yet to purchase my internals. If you are looking to sell those I might be interested.

You could get the Parkzone Habu replacement airframe. It has a rudder, but no retracts, and your motor should fit and would be an upgrade to the stock 3200Kv. That is assuming you are using a 4S battery, rather than a 3S.

I just finished building a BAe Hawk and have a 4S 3300mAh 35C Hyperion battery that I am going to use in it. I saw some reports that the 3S was under powered, which seems to be the case for all EDFs. I have not flown it yet, but hope to soon.
