Default Aerobird control horn removal

Little help please.. I just got my x-pak in the mail. There was slight creases to the elevator where the control horns are mounted.. I want to take these off and put some tape over the crease.. Whats the trick I've tried to seperate the pieces but it wants to pull the whole thing through the foam.. Thanks

Default RE: Aerobird control horn removal

I found my self in the same boat, those horns work like a zip-tie, I think once you have it on the ratchet won't let you back it off. I ended up cuting mine off at the base with wire snips, and just repaceing the horn with a new.
