brushless motor specs
hi
is there a source of information to educated a newcomer to brushless motors. the more I look at this phase of hobby the more confused I become. every manuf. has different ways to spec their motors so how do you relate one line to another? know what motor to use in what plane?
any help greatly appreciated.

RE: brushless motor specs

You have asked the most common and the most difficult question regarding brushless motors. One resource that can be helpful in comparing motors is [link=http://www.flyingmodels.org/index_en.htm]The Great Electric Motor Test[/link].
However, most of the time, it's easier to find a plane you like, then post a message here asking for a power system recommendation. If it's a common plane, chances are good someone will make a recommendation based on their experience. Even if it's not a common plane, if you describe it in detail, someone will usually suggest a power system.
