Default LiPo 11.1v Balance Pack charge

I just got a new battery with a balance plug. It is from Electricfly, the plugs are taged ESC and Charger. Can I charge this battery on the ESC leads? I do not own a balance type charger. The Apogee pack I have charges on the ESC leads.

yeah, you can charge it either way, but you will need to atleast check the balance on down the road. You should be reading 0.02v difference or less from the highest cell to the lowest cell. If you ever get to that or more, you'll want to invest in a balancer. The equinox is a good balancer for those and runs about $30 or so. There is also the blinky which is about the same price.

Alternately if it is a small pack, you could get something like the esky lipo charger, just do a search for that on ebay. You can get one that does 2 or 3s lipo's at 800mA for 16 bucks with shipping that also has a dencent balancer in it that would work just fine.
