pilot classification

I am curious as to how the manufacturers classify a pilot as beginner to intermediate, to advanced. Have flown some, and can come home with the planes in one piece most of the time. Would I still be considered a beginer or possibly an intermediate. I am looking to move up to an aileron plane for a little more interesting flying, just do not want to overdo and destroy a plane

RE: pilot classification

I think that if you can fly a RET plane successfully with good control, you're ready to move to an aileron trainer. If you've never flown anything with ailerons before, you probably shouldn't try to fly anything with low or symmetrical wings. A nice slow plane with high wings and flat bottoms are what you need.
