Question about receiver placement

I have just assembled a Great Planes Slinger and I have question about where I have placed the receiver.

I have a 2150mah battery, a GP Electrifly C-20 ESC, a HiTec micro 555 fm receiver, and the stock 400 motor. In order to achieve the proper balance I had to slide the battery all the way forward in the compartment. The canopy is pretty low profile so the only real place to put the receiver is between the battery pack and the electric motor. It is about an inch away from the motor.

Is this going to create RF noise?
Should I hollow out part of the wing and place it there?
Should I not worry about it and just go and see what happens?

Any help/suggestions would be very helpful. I have flown gliders a few times and I'm really good at re-kitting gassers so I'm not completely new to this stuff...just electrics.

RE: Question about receiver placement

The 555 is pretty robust. I would at least try it with the receiver by the motor. Don't fly it, but do a long-range ground check with the motor running before you risk it.

That makes sense. Why mess with something until you know for sure, huh?

Sounds like a plan,man. Thanx. ;)
