Recommendation for a Beginners Guide to Electrics

Can anyone recommend a book or web site that explains it all [electric information] for someone new? Something that explains how you figure out what size motor and battery you need... I'm playing around with MotoCalc - but I think that is more then I need at this time - just a buch of numbers... would like to learn how you size a battery to a motor and especially what all the numbers mean for a LiPo battery (i.e. 3S2P).

RE: Recommendation for a Beginners Guide to Electrics

A great starter book for electric flight is Bob Aberle's "Getting Started in Backyard Flying". Bob is a great resource of information and his latest book is evidence of that. It is sold at many places for about $25. [link=https://www.fmadirect.com/site/Detail.htm?item=1558§ion=27]FMA Direct[/link] is one of them.

For an on-line resource, the E-Zone's [link=http://www.ezonemag.com/pages/efaq.htm]Electric Flight FAQ[/link] is top notch!

Good luck!
