Help ..... i picked this up at a swap meet, gws foamy. i have been flying glow fuel planes awhile but im a real dumbo at this electric stuff . it has the motor, 2 servos, speed control, & rec. i have a hitec focus am transmiter ch #26 and a futaba 4 ch #36 also a futaba 6ch fm ch#27 , my guess is none of them will work & ill have to scrape up a bunch of the green stuff for a new rec. & some kind of battery pack. any ideas will be great help

If you want to go cheap, You can pick up a GWS 72 megahertz FM radio w/crystal for $35.00 from [link=http://www.horizonhobby.com]Horizon Hobby[/link]. It doesn't have any frills but it works well. I don't know if it comes with the rx crystal in addition to the tx crystal so you might want to call and check with their customer service. that sounds great 35.00 bucks i can handle , this is a great hobby if i didnt crash so often it wouldnt be so expensive . this is the first time i have asked a question on here but lots of info on the forums .... many thanks jak

Look at the receiver in the GWS foamy. It may work with the Futaba 6-channel FM transmitter.

Post the model number on the receiver, and look for a small round sticker with an "F" or "J" on it. F is good, means it'll work, and all you need is a channel 27 crystal ($8). J is bad, means its for a JR or Airtronics transmitter.

Are you saying that you have three transmitters and no receivers that go with them?

I ask only because there is nothing different about receivers for gas and receivers for electric aircraft. So if you have a receiver for any of the transmitters you listed, just swap it out with the one that came in the plane you bought.

matt its not my lucky day the sticker has j on it & says GWR-4P to bad because my futaba 6 ch trans.& rec, out of a glow fuel plane is a 27 crystal......thanks jak

sierra gold yes i have the 2 futaba radios with receivers one is basic 4 ch with #36 crystal & the other a 6 ch with # 27 crystal , i thought about trying one of them but didnt think it would work thanks jak

They will probably work. The only concern I can see is weight issues. A micro reciever will weigh less and probably fit better inside the tiger moth fuselage. All you can do is try it and if it doesn't work then grab that cheap GWS transmitter.

Let us know how it works out. I think you'll find the tiger moth is a fun little electric.
