GWS flight pack setup help please

I just got a GWS 4 channel flight pack and single conversion crystal to go with my new slow stick and futaba T4YF 4 channel transmiter. The problem is that none of the servos or the motor is working, on the back of the RX it says "75 mhz band" but isnt the crystals and tx 72mhz ? also can you have a single conversion rx crystal with a dual conversion tx crystal?

thanks, chris

There's no such thing as a "dual conversion" transmitter. Conversion refers to the filtering that the receiver does after it receives the signal. Both types work from the same signal.

Please double-check that receiver. I highly doubt it says "75MHz." GWS does not make R/C cars, that I know of, yet.

First, are both the receiver and transmitter on the same channel?

Second, did you get a Futaba-compatible receiver? It should have an "F" sticker on it. If it has a "J" sticker, it's JR compatible.

Third, does the transmitter work on other receivers?

Thanks for clearing up what conversions are, I never knew what they were. On the receiver there is an F sticker on the back and a small round white sticker that says 75 MHZ BAND and both TX and RX are on the same channel (45).
It defenitly does read 75 MHZ. It sounds like 75 MHZ is not for aircraft is that right because that would be the problem right there.

thanks againm, chris

If the receiver is indeed tuned for 75MHz, it will be so far off on the 72MHz band that it won't work.
