Pico Tiger Moth electronics Help???
 

I just bought the kit to build the Tiger Moth. I'm a total newbie, so I was wondering what flight pack to use. It recommends GWS Naro, Pico or Mini series. What would the way to go here be? I would also want to be able to throw these electronics in another aircraft up the road, so I'm wondering if one of these series is more suitable for that? Also, I'm looking at the cheaper, one stick transmitters to fly this thing, such as the Futaba 3FR or the Hitec Neon SS FM 04MG. Any suggestions here, especially again with an eye to building other park flyer type aircraft. I'm on a somewhat tight budget, as I don't want to chuck to extreme amounts of money into this until I'm sure flying airplanes is gonna work out for me. Lastly, any tips on the Tiger Moth, either constructing or flying it. Is this a decent choice for an absolute beginner?

Spend the little extra and get a dual stick 4 channel or 5 channel system rather then the single stick three channel system. This is a must if you plan on moving up to planes with ailerons along with rudder and elevator. You will like the moth but find yourself getting bored with it and wanting more in the future. Look at some of the sytems that have a multiple model memory as this will make it easier to fly dif planes from one transmitter.

GWS markets a complete flight pack specifically for the Tiger Moth. We call them "Pico Packs" around here because they come with a Pico receiver and two Pico servos. In addition, it comes with an ICS50 speed control and a 6-cell, 150mAh battery pack. All this for $85. Separately you're looking at over $100, even for GWS stuff. You CAN fly the Tiger Moth with larger

If you want an inexpensive transmitter, look to GWS. I believe their 4-channel, dual-stick transmitter is only $40. The Hitec Neon is cool and all, but with all the add-ons, it's more expensive than many dual-stick 4-channel transmitters that have those features in the first place.

Just about got my moth done maybe this weeken used the naro pack and got a futbubo sky port. I am also new to this so I hope the first flight goes well, good luck on your TM.:D
