Mini-Ventura

Hey Guys...

Just bought my son a mini-ventura as an intro to R/C flying. Are there any comments, tips, suggestions or reviews to be had on this plane?

Thnaks for anything you can provide.

I also am interested in comments on the Mini-Ventura. Looks like theres lots of comments on the bigger one. This looks like the one I will get. Either the mini or the regular one, they look identical.

I might review the mini Ventura since I really liked the other Ventura design.

I'll let you know.

RE: Mini-Ventura

I will say that the "full size" Ventura is not a first plane for beginners. I broke a wing and a tail and went through several props when I decided to go get a two channel Firebird II. After a few days, I was comfortable with the Firebird. It provided me with experience in launching, trimming, maneuvering, and landing. I replaced the broken parts on my Ventura and was able to get it airborne and do some flying. The Ventura is very fast and more sensitive. Until you are more experienced, it will require a lot of space to fly. I really like the Ventura and can't wait until I am more experienced as it will do just about anything. It is a very good package for the price. It needs a peak charger. The Mini-Ventura might be better since it has a 180 size motor and might fly a little slower.
