Bent Driveshaft

Hey guys, bent the driveshaft on my Skypilot, I've straightened it as best I can with pliers, but it's still probably about a MM out, is it safe to use it like this?

if not do I replace the driveshaft? (is that even possible)

or do I replace the motor?

RE: Bent Driveshaft

Your best bet would be to bin the motor, and get a new one fitted, you will never get it true, and it will now be out of balance, & wobble the prop all over, & vibrate it.

I bent a motor shaft on one of my electrics a few months back, just binned it & fitted a new one.
Brushed motors are cheap enough anyway, but if it was an expensive brushless type, then it may be worth salvaging and have a new shaft put in.
Most cheap motors are sealed, and have non replaceable parts, you can't get parts for them anyway I don't think, except for the expensive type.
