Confusion with ESC

Hello.

I'm a beginner/intermediate pilot used to nitro planes.

I just bought an E-Flite mini ultra stick cuz I wanted to start dabbling in electrics mainly
for the convenience and to supplement my flying time.

The LHS outfitted me with an E-Flite 40A Brushless ESC Dual BEC, JR Sport RS6UL
receiver to use with my existing Futaba Skysport 4 T4VF radio (Channel 58).
It took me awhile to figure out the right connections for the rudder, elevator,
throttle, and ailerons. This was a bit confusing since the connections ended up
as follows:

Reciver Terminal---------Servo Connected To
_____________---------_________________

Throttle-------------------Aileron
Aileron--------------------Elevator
Elevator-------------------Throttle (ESC)
Rudder--------------------Rudder
Gear-----------------------N/A
Aux/Batt.------------------N/A

The ESC instructions clearly stated to connect the 'throttle' connection from the ESC
to the 'throttle' terminal on the receiver, but this didn't work right.

The setup SEEMS to work as shown, but I was wondering if the terminal mismatching is caused
by an incompatibility with the receiver and radio.

Any input would be greatly appreciated! :D

The transmitter has priority in the sequence. Fut. is ail, el, throttle , rudder. If you had had a JR trans. it would have been as you have shown for the rcvr. So you done it right.:D

Thanks for the input!

That's a great tip to remember too, about the transmitter and receiver sequence.
It threw me a little bit cuz the
instructions said that the connections should be as shown on the receiver.
When mine weren't, I was like DOH! I was plenty worried about burning
something out, like the receiver.

Thanks again for the input! :D
