Noise Supression Kit?

Hello all! I recently ordered a Graupner Tispy with a Speed 280 motor. When I made my purchase, I noticed a kit that included solder, epoxy, etc... at the bottom, and I didn't order it because I already have solder and epoxy that I could use. I come to find out, that kit included a noise supression kit that includes 3 capacitors attached to the motor. Here are my questions:

What kind of noise are they talking about? Sound or electronic noise?

What are the negative effects of not having a noise supression kit on the motor? Can the motor run properly and have a long life without it?

I happen to have capacitors at my house, anyone know what size capacitors to use?

Thanks in advance for your help!!!

Jay

RE: Noise Supression Kit?

Capacitors are for electronic noise suppression and they help reduce most electrical interference the running motor could have on your radio electronics (receiver, servos). I'm not sure of the sizes they have in their "kit", but most are 1 micro-farad or less.

Ah, so they sound kind of important. Wouldn't want the motor to interfere with the servos when I'm trying to learn to fly!!!

Thanks for your help!
