Best GWS-Slow Stick Battery location

Confused about where is best mounting location. Some go under wing other put infront of wing.
Someone tell me pro's and cons? I'm also seeing both Li=pos and NiMH type being used.

If you can manage the battery location at the CG, then you'll be able to swap out different packs of different weight without worrying about effecting the way the plane flys.

Sounds like a logical solution for me. Thanks TP

Still not able to get CG at 4" before I add the battery at the CG. It seems that it stays tail heavy no matter where I locate wings and components. i'm using a 300 brushed stock motor mounted correctly. Note I'm trying to be able to mount Lipo 7.4 w/1300 mah at CG after I get the CG correct without battery. Any advice would be appreciated.

I've built 2 and had to put the battery in front of the wing on both to get the correct cog....
