Slow Stick Help

I have been flying my Multiplex EasyStar, but it is getting rather beat up. I am getting better, but I would still like another trainer. I would like to purchase a GWS Slow Stick, and use what componants I can from my EasyStar. I am pretty sure the servos will work. The motor on the EasyStar says its a size 400. Will my ESC work. How about my battery, its a 6 cell, 7.2/1200 mAh (Ni-MH). I would rather the Slow Stick with the EPS400C motor, but will buy the one that most of my componants are compatable with. If the battery will work I won't have to buy a charger, which would be great.

Slow stick would be fine with your Easy Star components. The 400 version should be fine.

Just curious. Why would you want to get a Slow Stick as your second trainer?

Because I beat up the EasySatr, and haven't mastered the basics yet.

The Slow stick can be much more than a basic trainer. You can fly it in small areas. You can even fly it indoors.

After you get comfortable with it as a slow speed parkflyer you can upgrade the power system for more speed and authority.

It thermals wonderfully so you can enjoy soaring.

Add another servo and you can add ailerons to it.

Clip the wings shorter and make it faster and more aerobatic.

This is an amazingly versitle plane and there are tons of mods documented for it by happy users.

Slow stick - $35 -
Best flown in still to under 5 mph breeze. This is an excellent choice for
people who have a smaller space to fly.
Can also be flown indoors in a gym or similar space.

Good enough for me. It's what I learned on and still fly for fun on occasion. Make sure you fly in as calm conditions.

Good luck!
