Speed control/ Receiver HELP !!
Hi all,
I'm new to this forum but I hope someone can help. I've been into RC Aircraft for years and I thought I give the Electrics a try. I purchase a combo from Tower with the GP 25A Electronic Speed Control and a Futaba radio that includes the R114F 4 channel receiver. It's a sail plane radio setup that was included in the combo. The plane in the package is the GP S.E.5a WWI Biplane with ailerons. My problem is: I'm not sure if I'm suppose to plug the speed controller into ch.3 (throttle) of the receiver. Channel 4 is mark 4/B, which is where power is to be connected if I were to use the supplied receiver battery pack. I know the speed control puts out 5v BEC, so voltage isn't a problem. Am I correct plugging into ch.#3?? There's nothing in any of the instructions. Thanks, Bob Hayes |
RE: Speed control/ Receiver HELP !!
Hi Bob,
I had the same problem and I also asked on this forum. Like you, I had no help because this forum sucks! What I did was "Bite the Bullet" and I plugged the Speed controller into channel #3. I figured, what do I have to loose, a receiver? Low and behold it worked! You can plug into any channel as long as the leads coming from the controller match the +/- of the servo plug. You only want two wires from the controller. You're a super, neato guy Bob. I know we have a lot in common. I'll never be hearing from you again. Bob Hayes |

RE: Speed control/ Receiver HELP !!
Hi Bob,
I know that it can be taxing waiting to get a reply, but not everyone on the forum has the time to access the forum every day. Waiting two days for a reply when you are trying to get your plane in the air may seem like an eternity, but it really is not a lot of time to get a response. Is there still a question that you need answered, or have you resolved all of the issues? |
