Timer
I'm about to get an Aerobird and I've read everywhere that a timer is a must, to make sure you don't run out of power in a sticky position. I have a stop watch but this doesn't beep after a certain time. If you have any suggestions of what I can use as a portable alrm to go off after a set time please give them to me. Is there something cheap I can get (eg. from Kmart)?
Thanks. Alex |

It's not so critical. You'll definitely notice that the power is starting to fall off long before you completely run out of juice. Still, the timer would give you a bit of extra insurance.
Go to the kitchen section of any department store, or a Radio Shack. They have talking/beeping digital timers that are ideal for flying. |

I found what I think will be a good timer at Dick Smith Electronics. Is there a way of attatching this to my transmitter? Like an antenna clip? Or will I just have to glue on a clothes peg?

We call 'em clothes "pins," but you have the right idea. Gluing a clothes pin/peg to the back of the timer is about as sophisticated as we get.
