Hi all,
Photos of my latest addition to the hangar.
It's a K&A Models "Evolution 400". Was designed for Speed 400 pylon, but I bought the kit with every intention that it would have a 1/2 A on the front.
At this point I have the VA Mk II r/c mounted on the front (via a Texas Timers radial mount), so that I can utilise the throttle during trimming, but once trimmed out, the mounting pattern has been set so that I can bolt the Cyclon 0.061 straight on. [X(]

HI SHACKAS! Looks like a winner! what are the tail feathers made out of? How much does it weigh [HMDIW]? What are you running for onboard equipment? It should be pretty awesome with the VA, and terrifying with the CYCLON![X(]

Hiya Pigg,
Tail feathers are 3/32 balsa glassed with 0.75 oz cloth (additional layers of 0.75 cloth used for V-tail centre reinforcement and to make live hinges for moving surfaces.)
Servos (I think) are GWS Pico Pro BB mounted with rubber grommets.
Tank is a Sullivan 1 oz cylindrical.
Receiver is Hitec 555.
Weight - Not known at moment, but estimate 11 oz.

I always wondered how a fast speed 400 electric aircraft would work with a good 1/2A on the front of it... The flying weight would probably be higher with the electric set-up (batteries, speed control.) but how much I dont know. There are tons of these models available... Was also looking at the speed 400 warbird pylon racers from TDL, they look like they could use 1/2A power as well.
