slow fly props

Just got me a foamie that has a turnigy 2826 1240kv motor. It calls for a 8x4.5 prop, how do you determine what size slow fly prop to use. Also how does a slow fly work ? Does it take less amps to run, can you fly longer than with a electric prop on the same battery. Just need a little insight on slow fly props. Thanks for any help you can give me. Don :confused:
