BGX 35CC GAS CONVERTION
THE FIRT ENGINE I CONVERT WAS A BGX FROM A FRIEND WHO ASK ME DO IT FOR HIM 2 YEARS AGO. WITH THIS ENGINE I GET AMAZING ABOUT CONVERSIONS
IN THIS MOMENT THIS IS THE 7TH BGX I CONVERT. NOW IT WITH NEW TECHNIQUES , I KNOW THE POWER OF THIS ENGINE IS AMAZING

Looks good my friend. Has this engine got needle type of bearings on the con rod? Also what oil brand & ratio doy they prefer? Thanks Capt,n PS...Keep up the good work !

In my experience I have no fit bearing in con rod, I only have to problems one was a supertigre 2500 the guy send me the engine to convert because he says engine stop suddenly with nitro and crash his plane, y convert , was ruining and another time stop suddenly, I opened again an se problem on bushing, I rim it with precision rim again and runs nice.
The other one was a BGX engine was running well in its firts test of the person I convert. (I tested it a lot before) and suddenly engine began to make rare noise and stop
I opened and conrod was damaged, then my friend tel me he was so sorry, he forget add the oil to the gasoline.
In my experience i see that if engine is new or almost new you need to use 1:20 oil ratio
but in hard used engines you can use 1:30 or 1:40 here in Mexico I buy Castrol synthetic that works nice, but for 4 strokes I found something better that I will tell you soon the secret.
the most important is always check temperature and will have no problem

Head is the same, all engine I had conveerted has black head, is representative of my brand.
Cants say cost now but is very cheap, conversion kit for BGX is ready on late april, I think you will love it

Yes
The head is the same in all engines sometimes in supertgre (not canedone in in bgx because upper head is very tinny ) I tap to 10mm and use cm6 spark results are almost same I prefer 1/4 32 spark

BGX is an excelent engine to convert very powerfull and secure recomendable use a walbro and autoavance ignition and you will have a nice engine.
Flying with nitro you need a fuel tank airpalne towar your airplane, is big for nitro
But is an OS is very fine engine more than any factory gasser even I think finest than os 55gt

What about an ST300?. I have one I want to sell or convert. If I can convert I would prefer that so I don't have to buy another engine.

Yes we have the new system with no cdi now we use Intelligent Gas Driver that controls Glow plug for gasoline like norve.
Is very low cost and low weight
More reliable no timming and the best is more powerful tahn cadi
