Default Walbro wr-38 or Zama c1q-p8 equivalent?

Does anyone know of a equivalent for either one of these carbs? They are both discontinued. I am tossing around the idea of converting my ASP fs180 to gas. I have a cdi module for it. I will attempt to make my own adapter for the carb. Yes, I know there are a couple of companies that sell the conversions, but they are a bit pricey for my blood.

Thanks

I looked on the Walbro site and there isn't any WR series, but is a Wt series and a Wt-38 which has a 9.53 mm venture. On the Zama site the C1Q-P8 has a 6.5mm venture. Both are available on Ebay.
If this was a weedeater conversion I'd say try for a Walbro carb with an 11.11 venture, but don't know anything your engine, so I couldn't recommend one for your engine.

It will be easier for you to use the Walbro as repair kits for the WT series are readily available and reasonably priced.
Your Walbro should have the number 24 embossed in the venturi, this is 24/64" or 9.53mm which is a good size for an ASP FS180.
There are many equivalent carbs, both Walbro and Zama, most hand held blowers/trimmers have venturi throat sizes of 20/64 or 24/64 (8mm to 9.5mm), the later is the better one for you.
Commercial Gas 4 strokers come with a small return spring in the carb due to the crankcase being used as an oil sump/reservoir and the pressure applied in one direction only when the inlet valve opens.
It's not an issue with your engine and other r/c 4 strokes as the pressure changes in the crankcase in the same way as it does with 2 strokers.
Hope it helps.

Using crankcase pressure to power a Walbro or Zama pump has its problems.

The crankcase vent cannot be hooked directly to the carb as you still need to vent the crankcase. The solution is to put a tee in the vent line with a line going to the carb.

There's another problem as the diaphragm area eventually fills up with crankcase residual oil and the pump action gets weak.

If you are going to use a two stroke carb . . .

A four stroke 180 needs a carb that was suitable for a 90 two stroke as the four stroke only fires half as many times.

Sorry guys I didn't get a message saying someone replied to my post. I meant WT not WR, oops! I seen a recommendation from Adrian from CH ignitions that these two carbs work good for all of his conversions.

I have found this thread: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/engine-conversions-92/9218106-180fs-glow-gas.html

And this one:

On the subject. I have not found either carb on my Ebay searches.
