I'm sure its here somewhere but I can't find it. Anyone added ignition to a glow Moki 210 using methane or gas. I just got one on GP Pitts Special. Any hope for this conversion or should I change to 50cc gas?? THANKS

Sell the Moki use that money and the money your going to spend on an ignition conversion and buy a gas engine. If ya wan ta run gas use a gas engine...
OK got that out of the way
The Moki will run good on gas with ignition. Converting the rod to a needle bearing is not a good idea on the Moki. SO your stuck running a 10% oil mix. The Moki has small fins, gas runs hotter than glow, so you have to be careful about proper cooling.
The ignition is $80, the timing kit is $25, the spark plug is $17, and the Walbro pump carb with adapter is $80.

A customer sent us one of these that he couldn't get to run on the orginal ignition provided. fter I checked the engine out I called the owner and told him no garantees on somebody elses work. I went through the engine and set it up for our ignition.
Started the engine way rich and after 30 seconds or so start to lean it out, just about full throttle bang, it quit. Here's what was inside.

I forgot to mention...if you have a ignition you can still use that for better starts on the Moki. You then do not have to worry about the glow flaming out. Just be sure to use the proper amount of oil in fuel mix. Capt,n
