Ive got a Ryobi 31cc and a Crcc ignition. Need some help, never put a IE on before! Has anyone set this up before? What should I set the initial timing at? What kind of gap do I need between the sensor and the magnet? Thanks for the advice!

About a .020" gap between the sensor and the magnet is fine. Set the timing at 28 degrees before top dead center. Set it so that you actually SEE a spark at 28 degrees, not when the magnet is over the sensor. Some units create the spark as the magnet approaches the sensor, others as it is leaving the sensor.
