looking for a Ryobi spinner nut
I am looking to find where to buy an aluminum spinner nut/hub for my Ryobi 31cc (long shaft)

it is a standard 3/8x24 thread if the end has not been cut off you just get a bolt that screws in the end

Mine has the threaded shaft and I am looking for a spinner so I can use my electric starter. Thanks Ken!

I got a Harry Higgly spinner that had a smaller hole than the shaft and drilled and tapped it to the right size.

I have a Harry Higgly spinner on mine, mine is the long shaft and he has them to fit 3/8x24 threads. The only thing is I had to cut off the none threaded portion of the shaft because it wouldn't let the spinner thighten all the way down on the prop. Once I cut that off it worked perfect.

I have this one and it fits the thicker props no problem:
http://www2.gpmd.com/imaget/h/thigq1090.jpg It doesn't work some of the thinner propss, though, so I just jam one of these between it and the prop: http://www2.gpmd.com/imaget/h/thigq1455.jpg Both are Harry Higley items. I don't like to cut off the tip, because if I ever need to use a spinner, I can thread the spinner bolt directly into the shaft. |

Tileflyer:
If you want to make something lighter than an alum. version.. http://www.rcuniverse.com/gallery/sh...t=1&thecat=500 Nut is G10 FG rod cut drilled & tapped, trued on drill press and then balanced on prop balancer. An 1/8" spacer washer used for this prop. White VHMW spacer same routine. Works fine with the blue cone on Tower hd starter. Word is tuna at the Bajo. |

Paragon aero has a nice set up. It is hollow and taps into the end(long shaft version) of the crank. I think the inside threads are 8-32. Anyway, it's not too expensive and I think they have 3 styles to choose from.

I second the Paragon recommendation. Beautuful machining at a fair price. I'm very happy with my entire Paragon conversion kit.
