Converting OS 1.08 BX1 from Glow to Gas?
 

Hi all. I'm in need of some guidance from anyone with experience converting glow engines over to run on gas. I have an OS BX1 1.08 glow engine that I would like to convert over to a gasser. Ultimately, I'd like to get my hands on a kit that includes, the ignition sstem/magnet/pick-up, sparkplug, and carb (Walbro) with adapter. Does anyone know where I might get my hands on this type of kit?

If not, maybe I can piece together my one conversion kit. What number Walbro carb would I need to use, and any ideas of where to find an adapter ring? I believe the outside diameter of the originalglow carb is 15mm. Also, anyone know of a good place to pick up the ignition unit for this conversion? I am pretty certian this engine is designated as a 17cc engine.

ST Engines seems to have a good reputation around here and sells kits to convert most of the popular engines. Not sure if they make a kit for the 1.08. Check their website and see: www.stengines.com
