32cc Mac.

I just got a good 32cc Mac engine out of a model 1358L weed whacker. Does anyone make the conversion parts for this engine?

I have two of the C-H ignition conversions and they are real nice.

Enjoy,

Unless you plan to use the stock muffler, you'll find that the Mac has a somewhat unique exhaust port configuration that requires a special muffler setup. AFAIK, Abell hobbies is the only source for one right now. They have models that fit both the bolt on and spring type muffler. They're web address is: http://www.abellrc.com/lgear.html. The guy you want to talk to is Clay.

I have a couple of the 32cc Macs and they seem to be good strong motors. Mine will run a 16-8 to 8000 rpm in the blink of an eye, and it's not even well broken in yet! They are expecially good in situations where the Ryobi engine is going to be too long to fit in the cowl space available.

I've got to tell this...

I got a 32 on a trade..(new)..took off the ignition, sold the motor with the pickup to a club member..
His first ignition system...
He ordered the ignition put it on, timed it, started it ran awful, did everything to it..would not run right..called me kinda huffed up saying it was a bad motor..
He told me how he had timed it...I asked him to start it backwards..RAN FINE...
He had timed it with the pickup 28 degreed after top dead center..[sm=spinnyeyes.gif]

Moral of the story...
Pay attention to the instructions and you will have a heck of a good motor..
