Homelite 240 conversion
 

Hi all guys!
After a tedious search, I bought a Homelite 240 chainsaw for 60€. Now, the obvious questions is, how do I convert it?
I've not been able to look inside it, so I don't know its size. Its 3" wide and 6.3" high from top to bottom side of the flywheel, I supose its in the 30-40cc range. The carb is a Walbro, mounte on the bottom left side of the engine, seen from hte prop to the back of it.
Weell, I though of doing the following evil & wicked things to the lil' beast:
1- Choping the rear shaft that holds the centrifugal clutch (I don't know how to remove it, perhaps using an extractor?)
2- Obviously, removing the metal piece that holds the chainsaw's sword.
3- Making a new shaft and/or flywheel so I can screw a prop in front of it, which after all its what this is all about ;)
4- Removing the noise dampers of the exhaust, or making a tuned pipe for it (in the rare case I have the time and find sheet metal to do so).
Anyone tried this one? Apart from wackerengines and Scott Baldridge's page, do you know of others where I could buy the items I needed? Tips, experiences, comments... alll are very welcome ;)

Whoa, I just can't wait to see this thing turning a prop![&:]

PD. To help finding out engine size, use as a reference the newspaper where the engine sits (size A3: 29cm wide x 42cm long)

There is Jag engines, Carr precision engines, and one other site where you can purchase kits for building CD ignitions. Basically, anything that does not look like aircraft engine mill it off, the clutch should be threaded, may need to use a spanner or large set of pliers to remove it, then measure about 1/4 of an inch from the case and cut it off remember to do it slowly as not to change the temper of the crankshaft.
