Making a prop hub

Hi all,
I've my conversoins problems with a couple engines with one exception: the prop hub.
I first thought of spininng an aluminium cilinder, and machining two screws inside of it; the first one to screw the prop hub to the engine, and the other one to screw the bolt that holds the prop.
However, I don't like the idea of screwing on aluminium, and I fear it will come off. For security purposes, I thought of adding two M3 screws so that they push against the engine's aixs thread and the bolt that holds the prop (to make sure they won't turn loose).
Any of you has tried this befoer, or knows of a better prop hub design?

hi there! are you the gyrodude from RCM??

here's an older thread on the prop hub subject [link]http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_696421/mpage_1/key_machining/anchor/tm.htm#696421[/link]

i do use set screws against the crankshaft but not on the threaded part. i think that would kinda mess up the threads making disassembly hard.

Hi

This is what my friend came up with. He has used this for a long time and this system has approved itself.
Hope it helps!

I'm sorry to decieve you Dave, but I'm not affiliated to RCM in any way... I'm just an spanish gyronut :D I agree with you that it's better not to push a screw against the thread... If you wan t to remove it later you may have some troubles.
Well guys thanks for your help! If I end my design soon I'll post it.
