RCU Forums - need help with parts and how to

Hey man I'm getting into gas as we speak... I got an awesome personal E-Mail back from wackerengines.com Homasassas Springs, FL... They are well known by all of these RCU Gas comversion guys... They specialize in Ryobi, and Homelite but I bet if your engine won't accept there prop shaft, engine mounts etc, you could modify them, or further they would make it work for you cheap... just my opinion... From the gist of the E-Mail they sent me they (I had inquired about converting a homelite 25cc for a 1/4 scale plane):

Scott, the Homelite 25 is not only an inexpensive engine, but they are very economical for fuel usage
and fuel costs. You can get an idea of how much you will save by trying to imagine how long it would take
a weedwacker to use a gallon of fuel and still it would only cost about $2.
I don't sell engines anymore, I sell the parts needed for conversion and will help with advice along the
way, once you have done one the rest are fairly easy. They are available in weedwacker form from Home Depot
here for $69 plus tax, my parts are about $30 unless you want a muffler then add $25. You don't need the
flywheel machined but it should be to save on power and some weight. The cost of this is $15 plus $4
shipping. Even if you maxed out and got everything, you are still under $150, a pretty good price for a

I think I will just use the drill press and sand paper method for my flywheel cause I'm a cheapo... HOPE THIS HELPS!
